Replacing the horse with the “Huey”, mobile infantry units were now able to charge into a battle and wreak havoc regardless of the terrain. No one unit more defined the “Air Assault” than the famed 1st Cavalry Division. Task Force 77 is a long lost film that is extremely rare. The exact date of its filming is unknown but estimated between March 1965 and November 1968 when the task force sat on Yankee Station off the coast of Vietnam and participated in Operation Rolling Thunder. |
